We are Saving the World.
Well I drew a component to do this. Using Solidworks. First draw the bottle thread. Not easy, but here is an image.

Then draw the part. This is it.

This can be made quite easily and made with PVC so it can be glued in place with common solvent cement.
So how do we make the part. Well it isn’t that hard as it is a simple mold. Plastics were made manually long ago so I will revert to this method for now. I will sell these parts, and expect they will only be about 10 – 20 cents each.
So make the mold.
This is a cross-section of the mold.

There are 5 parts. I have a quote from a Shenzhen toolmaker for $57.00 for the parts.
The quote from Australia was $300 Go figure.
This is the mold blown apart.

You can see that the base can be assembled. PVC put in the mold. Then heat the mold to say 250OC (till the PVC melts) then push in the plunger. Cool the mold and disassemble.
You have a the plastic part. Of course an automated molding machine would be great but. No money for that. The mold could cost $10,000 even in China.
Well that’s the first installment.
I feel better, I did something.
