How to save the world.

The theory of operation.

 

Make a hole in the bottom of the bottle. ( air in/out).
Attach the bottle to a pipe.
Pump in water, algae, CO₂ and nutrient.
Expose to light.
Guess what, it works.

 

 

1. How to attach the Cap to the T-Connector?

 

No problems, just glue it in. I used Silicone.

 

I’ll drill a hole later, to let the fluid and CO₂ in/out.

 

I let the silicone cure for a few days.

 

Woops! I screwed in the bottle and out came the cap.

 

Back to the drawing board.

Actually I knew this would happen, I have included it so you don’t have to go through the same process. PVC is very difficult to glue. There are solvents that are use and available from the plumbing suppliers but they won’t work as the cap is made of a different plastic and the solvent won’t touch it (PET).

So how do we fix the bottle to the pipe.
